Dear visitors,

As President of DVW e.V., I would like to warmly greet you on behalf of the organisers of INTERGEO. INTERGEO is returning to Stuttgart after 2019. The national and international geo-community will meet from 24 to 26 September 2024 at the exhibition grounds at the airport to learn about and exchange information on developments and innovations in the fields of geodesy, geoinformation and land management.

The conference, which this year will once again include the German Cartography Congress, will once again address current and future-oriented topics and reflect the motto ‘Inspiration for a smarter world’ in all its facets. We want to present nothing less than the future of geoinformation, geodesy and land management at the conference.

On Tuesday, the first day of the conference, the main focus will be on earth observations and digital twins. The conference programme covers digitalisation and AI in almost all sessions. The interplay between housing/ construction, transport and energy in urban and rural areas is one of the focal points on the second day. Additionally, on Wednesday, we will focus on BIM and demonstrate how BIM and GIS can support the construction industry. Thursday is dedicated to digitization and trends in geoinformation management. In the parallel sessions, we will delve into Smart City applications on one hand and the latest developments in engineering geodesy on the other.

Buzzwords such as Building Information Modeling, Digital Twins and Smart Cities will become tangible at the Expo by providing a visible focus in the area of digitality. Geospatial data in all its breadth and depth, from collection methods using satellites, UAV, mobile mapping and GNSS to integrated spatial reference and applications in climate adaptation and property security, will be the foundation. Be part of it and shape it!
