As President of DVW e.V., I would like to greet you warmly on behalf of the INTERGEO organizers. This year INTERGEO returns to the German capital Berlin. The national as well as international geo-community will meet from October 10 to 12, 2023 at the Exhibition Grounds under the Radio Tower to inform and exchange information about developments and innovations in the fields of geodesy, geoinformation and land management.

The Conference, in which the German Cartography Congress is embedded this year, once again takes up current and future-oriented topics and reflects the motto "Inspiration for a smarter World" in all its facets. Nothing less than the future of geoinformation, geodesy and land management is what we want to present to you at the conference. It is a promising one, because the importance of geoinformation has increased greatly in recent years and will continue to grow in the future. Especially in the fields of earth observation, urban planning, disaster preparedness, environmental protection and energy efficiency, geoinformation is of crucial importance. Global challenges such as the climate crisis, urbanization and securing resources can only be met with the help of spatial data.

Buzzwords such as Building Information Modeling, Digital Twins and Smart Cities will become tangible at the Expo by providing a visible focus in the area of digitality. Geospatial data in all its breadth and depth, from collection methods using satellites, UAV, mobile mapping and GNSS to integrated spatial reference and applications in climate adaptation and property security, will be the foundation. Be part of it and shape it!
