In the Aviation Cluster Hamburg Aviation, industry, research, education and politics come together to create added value for the players and drive innovation at the location. Not only has the topic of drone aircraft become increasingly relevant in recent years, Hamburg has established itself as one of the leading model regions for Urban Air Mobility. An important role in this development is played by the Windrove network moderated by Hamburg Aviation, which promotes the economic use and safe implementation of drones in urban areas and brings together the relevant partners for this purpose.

Hamburg Aviation is also organising its virtual trade fair presence at INTERGEO DIGITAL in line with the network concept. Hamburg Aviation is thus offering time slots to numerous network partners, in which they can be contacted at the virtual trade fair stand. One such partner is Airial Robotics, for example. The company develops innovative drone hybrids between helicopters and gyrocopters, which can become real game changers in terms of flight time, range and payload. The Start-Up Spleenlab enables the safe autonomous flight of drones with the help of machine learning. Another partner, Synergeticon, offers individual software solutions in the field of digital assistance systems, collaborative robotics and artificial intelligence.

Panel discussion of the German drone model regions:
WEDNESDAY, 14.10.2020, 12:45-14:15 Uhr
Hamburg Aviation is not only active at the site, but also acts as coordinator of the German UAM model regions Ingolstadt, Aachen, North Hesse and Hamburg, in particular as moderator between the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and the cities. On 14.10.2020, Hamburg Aviation, together with the BMVI, will host the panel "German UAV model regions - Urban Air Mobility jointly individualised". Representatives of all German model regions will take part. Information, exchange and discussion are at the centre of the event, which is particularly aimed at UAM managers in the municipalities. In addition to the discussion moderated by the Association of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles with subsequent question and answer session, contributions are expected from all model regions and from the BMVI.

Pitch Your Drone: Your UAS for Medifly |THURSDAY, 15.10.2020, 15:30 pm
One project that Windrove has successfully initiated is Medifly. The BMVI-funded research project demonstrated the feasibility of medical transport by drone during test flights between the Hamburg Bundeswehr Hospital and the Marienkrankenhaus in February 2020. At INTERGEO DIGITAL, Medifly is looking for aircraft for the second test phase and is offering manufacturers at INTERGEO DIGITAL the opportunity to present themselves in a 5-minute pitch. "Pitch Your Drone - Your UAS for Medifly!" will take place on 15 October 2020 at 15:30.
