Facts and Figures of INTERGEO 2016
With COPERNICUS as one of the headline topics, this year’s INTERGEO conference acknowledges the growing importance of remote sensing. Very aptly given that Berlin is hosting INTERGEO this year, open data and open government have also emerged as key focal points. Further features of this year’s INTERGEO include the smart city/digital city, digital planning and building/BIM, which featured successfully last year, along with developments/applications relating to UAS.
SMART CITY SOLUTIONS: Immerse yourself in inspiring visions of the city of the future and exciting projects that are already up and running right now! Check out SMART CITY SOLUTIONS at the exhibition and forum in hall 7.1a.

International experts and decision-makers from the worlds of politics, science and industry will be coming together in Germany’s vibrant capital to share information and ideas. Three exciting days of INTERGEO in the halls of Messe Berlin will be enhanced by additional INTERGEO excursions and naturally plenty of opportunities to explore Berlin.
Information for your arrival
The digitalisation process, Geoinformation 4.0, BIM and smart cities are key buzzwords in the geo and IT industries. Innovative forms of capturing data – COPERNICUS, UAVs and other mobile procedures – are becoming increasingly crucial to an extremely wide range of applications and call for innovative processing and presentation methods. INTERGEO and the German Cartography Conference are being staged alongside each other and will be addressing precisely these issues.
